AIGUE, the Association pour l'Information et la Gestion Universelle de l'Environnement, presents its first event of the season, in partnership with Beaune's CGR cinema: the film "Le vivant qui se défend", Thursday 16 October at 7.30pm.

Vincent Verzat has been filming environmental campaigns for 10 years on the YouTube channel Partager c'est Sympa (310k subscribers). Based on a sensitive personal account, the film "Le VIVANT qui se défend" (The LIVING that defends itself) retraces his journey between militancy and naturalism, his search for a balance between combat and contemplation, tracing a path to living with dignity and facing up to what lies ahead. From the forest battles on the Millevaches plateau to the lair of a badger family, via the mega-pools of Poitou, the deer of the Vercors and the A69 motorway, "Le VIVANT qui se défend" makes the link between wild animals and the battles being waged all over France against the destruction of their habitats. The film traces a path to living with dignity and facing up to what lies ahead.

Following the screening, members of a number of nature conservation organisations (France Nature Environnement, Mille Traces, La Levée Des Semis) will be on hand to talk about the different forms of commitment to the living world.
