The Glass Child, a luminous fable bordering on the fantastical, draws its inspiration from a subject that concerns us all: the family, its secrets and its unspoken truths.
Perched on a cliff stands the Kilvik family’s glass kingdom. Inside, everything is made of glass: the crockery, the tables, the walls… creating the illusion of a perfect diamond. By tradition, the daughters inherit a delicate glass titmouse at the age of 15. On the night Liv shatters her titmouse, the Kilvik family’s edifice
—as luminous as it is unsettling, as fragile as it is sharp—begins to crack.
On a stage of white sand, where one-way mirrors by turns conceal, duplicate or reveal, seven actors and a puppet draw us into a theatrical, visual and choreographed composition that evokes a profoundly liberating voice.
