*What the Belly Says*, a brand-new production blending slam, poetry and electronic music, inspired as much by Kendrick Lamar’s rap as by Björk’s experimental music. On stage, Lisette Lombé – a multi-talented artist, writer and Belgium’s National Poet – joins forces with Marc Nammour, rapper, poet and actor, for an intense and contemporary poetic dialogue, with both accompanied by Jérôme Boivin on bass, keyboards and electronic instruments.
As the support act, the Franco-American duo present a unique acoustic set featuring Sorg, producer and beatmaker, and Napoleon Maddox, singer, rapper and beatboxer. Having collaborated since 2013, they compose and perform music with socially conscious lyrics, giving a voice to the marginalised, set against imaginative and well-constructed soundscapes that blend hip-hop, soul jazz and electro.
