Descripción
Resolutely anti-chronological, this programme takes us back in time on a musical journey from war to liberation and peace, with works by Poulenc, Handel, Fauré, Rheinberger, Rossini and Schubert.
Conducted by Olivier Plaisant for the past 20 years, Les Divertissements Chamber Choir is a group of some twenty experienced singers. Its vocation is to explore the chamber choral repertoire a cappella or with a small instrumental ensemble. The choir performs regularly in Paris. It has been in residence at the Eglise des Billettes in Paris since September 2024.
An eclectic singer, actress and pianist, Caroline Montier sings opera, jazz, French chanson and popular music from all horizons with equal pleasure and ease.
Florence Chalamet, piano, works with Olivier Plaisant and took part in the creation of the show Le Voyageur at the Petit Palais in Paris. In 2022, she recorded a 4-hand piano version of Mozart's Requiem with pianist Romain Coharde, which festival-goers attending the 2024 edition were able to discover.
Olivier Plaisant, a singer and keyboardist by training, has been artistic director of ensembles since 1998. He directs the Divertissements Chamber Choir and La Petite Suite in a cappella works, with piano or instrumental ensemble. His artistic project is based on the exploration, technique, interpretation and pedagogy specific to chamber vocal ensembles. Her repertoire ranges from early music to that of our time.
