During a 4-hour creative session, you will create a unique, handcrafted textile piece that reflects your skill and imagination. You can choose your design from the catalogue we will send you or draw your own pattern. The piece will measure approximately 40 cm.
We’ll start with an introduction to the natural and recycled fibres used in the workshop, so you can better understand the materials you’ll be working with. This will also be the time to choose the colours for your design (we recommend a maximum of 4 to 5 colours).
Before using the tufting gun, we’ll explain how it works, the correct posture to adopt and the safety guidelines.
You’ll then create your first test lines to get used to the technique. We’ll take a moment to look at your test pieces and understand how the wool reacts on the canvas.
It will then be time to bring your design to life.
You’ll follow the lines of your pattern with the tufting gun, whilst being guided throughout the process by Laurent and David.
To round off this creative morning, we’ll enjoy an aperitif together (at just the right time!), accompanied by a glass of Burgundy wine, to celebrate your creation and the time spent at the workshop.
We’ll support you with:
– the technical aspects
– creative advice and colour choices
Once your piece is finished, we’ll take care of the finishing touches at the workshop:
. applying the fixing adhesive
. fitting the backing fabric
. fitting a wall-mounting system if required
. trimming the surface
Your piece will be ready within a week.
You can either:
– come and collect it from the workshop
– or opt for delivery (delivery charge: €10, to be paid on the day of the workshop)
