La Maison des Climats du vignoble de Bourgogne - Patrimoine mondial

This is the reference exhibition for understanding the Climats of the Burgundy vineyard, these famous parcels of vines named and precisely delimited for centuries, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015. Through a short film, a large model of the vineyard and a historical frieze, the Maison des Climats provides the keys to understanding how the notion of terroir has been built up over 2000 years in the Côte d'Or... and to discovering the cultural and heritage heritage heritage that results from it.

The originality of the exhibition is to propose, in addition, 10 digital tablets for a simple and playful discovery from the model. Thanks to augmented reality, everyone can visualise the names of the 1247 Climats, see the areas of the appellations, discover the historical monuments and travel through the ages.

Another "bonus" to browse if you have a little time: the digital media library. A real mine of information, it gives access to short and instructive videos to understand the professions of the vine and wine, and key notions such as the geology of the terroirs, the history of the A.O.C. or the fabulous history of the names that each Climat bears.

Children are also welcome! A booklet of games is dedicated to them. Riddles, puzzles and hidden words are to be solved in the House.

The visit is free and takes about 30 minutes. The contents are in French and English. A must before any tasting or visit to the estate!
