Les Climats & Pique-Nique - Château de la Crée

THE EXPERIENCE

The Climats experience begins with a historical presentation of the Château de la Crée, founded in 1431 on the land of Nicolas Rolin (Chancellor to the Duke of Burgundy) and the cultural wealth of the village of Santenay (Gallo-Roman remains, monasteries, Montagne des Trois Croix...).

We then visit the 1.5-hectare Clos du Château vineyard, planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. Together, we'll talk about Burgundy classification and the importance of terroir through a landscape reading.

We'll talk about the specific characteristics of the Santenay appellation and Château de la Crée, not forgetting how to tend the vines.

Then it's time to descend into our 15th-century vaulted cellars. You can then enjoy 6 wines from the estate, including a Grand Cru, accompanied by amuse-bouches during a commented and interactive tasting session.

Weather permitting, the tasting can also take place in the Château's walled garden.

THE CREATIVE PICNIC

Before or after your experience... In the heart of nature, enjoy the space and tranquillity of the Château grounds. A moment of relaxation and conviviality with family and friends awaits you.

In your basket you'll find a cold dish from the market, a cheese and a dessert.

Your picnic will be prepared using fresh, seasonal and local produce.
A selection of wines will be on sale to complement your meal.

A junior picnic for children up to 12 years of age is also available (please book separately).
