Situated on the Route des Grands Crus 12km south of Beaune, the Château de Melin estate offers an exceptional setting with its high slate-roofed towers and parkland. Château de Melin is a 33-hectare, 8-generation family estate in the Côte de Beaune and Côtes de Nuits, producing organic wines that reflect the richness of the Burgundy terroir. Visitors can discover the secrets of wine-making during private or free tastings.
In our tasting area, you'll have the privilege of choosing your own à la carte tasting thanks to a system of wine-by-the-glass dispensers that will allow you to make your selection from over 12 different appellations. A fun, interactive digital medium will accompany you during your tasting, enabling you to learn more about our winemaking techniques and the cycle and work of the vine over the seasons.
By appointment only, we also offer a private tasting with commentary by a member of the Château de Melin team, who will reveal the secrets of Burgundy and its prestigious vineyards. This unique experience will allow you to discover our passion for wine and our know-how, handed down from generation to generation. The tasting will be followed by a tour of our cellars and 16th-century winery.
If you'd like to take home one or more souvenirs of your Burgundy getaway, enjoy the warm ambience of our shop selling local produce, souvenirs and fine Burgundy wines from our organic wine estate.
