A year after 'Brothers And Sisters', the Dutch quartet and their American gospel soul singer share a powerful new extract from their forthcoming album 'Soul Woman'.
Equally at home with devastating grooves and soul-stirring ballads, singer Michelle David and her group The True Tones are constantly reinventing their sound universe, which is rooted in the spirit of gospel, the strength of soul and vintage rhythm & blues. After their soulful chronicle of the world's complexity and collective responsibility on their previous record, the American-Dutch combo have recorded an album that turns to introspection and explores identity, healing and spiritual resilience in a deeply personal way. "How can I ask others to take the time to reflect on their lives if I don't do the same myself?" says the singer whose new work, Soul Woman, is due out in February on Milan-based label Record Kicks.
