Cycling and wine break in Burgundy - From Beaune to Mâconnais
Accessible cycling itinerary - vineyards, heritage and greenways

Day 1 - Arrival in Beaune
Arrive in Beaune, a charming historic town and capital of Burgundy wines. Free time to discover the city's must-see attractions, including a visit to the Hospices de Beaune, an emblematic monument of Burgundy's heritage.
The Fallot mustard factory will delight young and old with a fun discovery of local know-how.
Overnight in a 3-star hotel in Beaune.

Day 2 - Beaune / Chassey-le-Camp | ~25 km
After breakfast, set off by bike along the famous Voie des Vignes, an emblematic route that winds through the heart of the Côte de Beaune vineyards.
You pass through world-famous appellations such as Pommard, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, with plenty of opportunities to visit estates and taste Burgundy wines as far as Santenay.
You will then reach the Burgundy canal and the Côte Chalonnaise.
Check into a hotel with two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor).
Overnight stay in Chassey-le-Camp.

Day 3 - Chassey-le-Camp / Dracy-le-Fort | ~25 km
This stage of the cycle tour takes in quiet country roads, before following the Burgundy canal on a cycle path to Chagny, the gateway to the Côte Chalonnaise.
You then pass through Rully and Mercurey, villages renowned for their Burgundy wines and crémants.
Shortly before Chalon-sur-Saône, you arrive in Dracy-le-Fort.
Overnight in a 3-star hotel with swimming pool.

Day 4 - Dracy-le-Fort / Cluny | ~44 km
After breakfast, you join the Voie Verte at Givry, a wine-growing village historically loved by King Henry IV.
This cycle route, laid out on a former railway line - the first in France - offers a peaceful setting between vineyards, hedged farmland and picturesque villages.
You'll pass through Buxy, Saint-Gengoux-le-National and Malay, jewels of Burgundian Romanesque architecture.
We recommend a break in Cormatin for lunch and a visit to its famous Renaissance château.
Arrive in Cluny, a major European heritage site, with a not-to-be-missed visit to Cluny Abbey and the national stud farm.
Overnight in a 3* hotel in Cluny.

Day 5 - Cluny / Mâcon | ~28 km
Cycle along the Voie Verte towards Mâcon. The landscapes gradually become more undulating, while remaining accessible.
On the way, you can visit the Château de Berzé-le-Châtel, a romantic site overlooking the valley.
A highlight for the children: the crossing of the Bois Clair tunnel, the longest tunnel in Europe open to cyclists.
Arrival in the Mâconnais region, with the spectacular scenery of Roche de Solutré and Vergisson.
Overnight in a 3* hotel in Mâcon.

Day 6 - Departure
After breakfast, the tour ends. From Mâcon, you can travel by train to Beaune, Paris or another destination.
